Mickey Mantle Mickey Mantle was a star from the start, parlaying a talent for the game and boyish good looks into iconic status. Mickey Mantle accumulated a long list of impressive accomplishments, finishing his 18-year career with 536 home runs and a .298 batting average. The switch-hitting "Commerce Comet" won three MVP awards (1956, '57, '62) and a Triple Crown (1956 ). He contributed to 12 pennants and seven World Series titles in his first 14 seasons, while establishing numerous World Series records, including most home runs (18). As every Mantle fan knows he was quickly called back up, this time able to get his fabled number 7 jersey and the rest is history! T are very few quality photos, especially 16x20 size which feature Mickey with the No. 6 jersey and this one is the absolute cream of the crop. The autograph is large and absolutely gem mint perfect. This would easily rate a 10!
