The gentleman that I bought this from worked for the telephone company. He had a lot of different phones on display on shelves. I don't think this phone was ever used but it gathered some dust in it's time. I cleaned it up and put some batteries in it just to try it. It worked fine with Mickey telling jokes and all the characters moving. So you will need 4 C batteries to make it work.
