Mickey Mouse Disney Store Display MICKEYâe(tm)S TOY SHOPPE DISPLAY MICKEY MOUSE AND PINOCCHIO The centerpiece to the Disney Stores very first Grand Front window display was this incredible figure. Mickeyâe(tm)s Toy Shoppe was one of Disneyâe(tm)s most elaborate displays and featured a multi-level toy shop complete with ornate fireplace, carved beam ceiling, and beloved Disney characters including Mickeyâe(tm)s nephews (Morty and Ferdie), a rocking horse Bambi (which is motorized), Minnie Mouse reading a storybook, and this Mickey Mouse figure motorized to sway back and forth as he stands on a âeoecarvedâe stool. Circa 1988-1989, Mickey stands just under 35 inches tall and is of commercial heavy-duty all-fiberglass construction. These early figures were detailed beautifully with hand painting and real (attached with Velcro) cloth clothing. This figure is being offered direct from one of the countryâe(tm)s largest private collections of Disney Store displays. Of all the various Mickey Mouse figures made, this remains unquestionably one of the premiere Mickeyâe(tm)s collector items of all time. It is believed that less than 50 of these existed worldwide, and most of these were destroyed when Disney Stores were closed as per Disney Store closing protocol. Notable Items: · This premiere collectorâe(tm)s piece is considered one of the rarest Disney Store Displays. · Character is not freestanding, but may be leaned against a wall or mounted into a display stand. · This display character was actually installed in one of the original Disney Storeâe(tm)s primary front window displays. · Excellent overall condition with only a few minor scuffs and blemishes which are common to being on a retail display. · Pinocchio character is multi-jointed and neatly âeoewiredâe to Mickeyâe(tm)s marionette controls.
