I am pleased to have assembled, from a few different sources and consigners, this small grouping of some of the very best work by the late and much missed Microcosms of California. Walter Chryslers monument to himself at 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue is THE FAVORITE building in the world of so many building collectors and architects that it clearly dwarfs the planet in popularity. Microcosms did a truly masterful job recreating the Art Deco splendor of this classic 1930 skyscraper. THis superb nickel plated piece is in like new condition, retains its original felt and foil MICROCOSMS label, has a removable spire (just like the real one which had it spire added at the final moments of topping out to win, though temporarily, the race for space with the the Bank of Manhattan building and the Empire State Building. The nickel plate finish on this building is especially appropriate because it mimics the shine and dazzle of the top the the Chrysler in Manhattan.
