Payment | Policies Mid 1800's Ebony Bead & Relic Chaplet of St Anthony Album Album Album Album A beautiful and very old St. Anthony Chaplet rosary with ebony wood beads, that came from France. This Old chaplet is 100-150 years old. The Chaplet of St. Anthony is composed of thirteen groups of three beads each. On the first bead of each group is said the Our Father prayer, on the second the Hail Mary and on the third the Glory Be. The ebony beads are sand tumbled round and each is a little bit different and measure an average of 6mm. The chaplet is 13 inches long, including the 1 1⁄2 inch St. Anthony Relic medal. I'm not sure of the Class of this Relic. I can't help but notice that the Reliquary for this Relic is very elaborate. For much more information on the significance, classes and Latin translations of Relics in Christianity, please see my " me "page, on Ebay. You are bidding on the rosary the relic is a gift. The center medal is an IM medal and is marked France. The center medal is silver washed tin and the St. Anthony medal is silver washed brass. Many of you have expressed a special interest in the "half twisted" link, which is sometimes called the "figure 8 link", which was a very popular link in the 1800's. This Chaplet does have the "half twisted" links. This lovely OLD chaplet rosary is in great shape. T are no missing
