This bedroom set was purchased from a furniture restorer 15 years ago by my parents and has spent all of that time in their guest bedroom getting very little use. The 6-piece Bedroom Set dating from the 40's or 50's includes a double bed with finished "matched pattern" head and foot board, a 4-drawer dresser with mirror, a 4-drawer chest, a 4-drawer dressing table with mirror and a dressing table bench with upholstered wood-framed top. The set is beautifully finished with rope detailing and burl-like veneers on the top drawers. The only marking we can find is what appears to be the word "Plymouth" on the intside of one of the top drawers. This set is in near excellent condition, and is scratch free including the tops of the dresser, chest and dressing table. Structurally, every piece is solid and sturdy and the finish has been well-maintained. All drawers move easily and smoothly. The bed side rails are finished. This set is ready for many more years of good service. Measurements: Overall, note that this set is not over-sized, so will fit well in even a modest-sized bedroom.
