Mid Century Retro Cityscape Wall Art Painting H BERTEFrench Artist Second of Two of His Paintings - HUGE WOW Everything we are putting up for the next few weeks came out of a HUGE university/private collection/museum deaccession sale. (That is where museums or universities quietly dispose of items that they have had in their archives to make room for more or to raise money.) The sale had items in it from anonymous museums and universities, they don't like folks knowing when they are having items leave their collection. We ened up with two huge wall art paintings by French Mid Century Artist, H. Berte. Both are amazing city scapes. We are putting them up in two separate auctions, check them both out. This is for the second of the two cityscapes. It is the smaller of the two measuring approx. 24" x 31" for the art, framed approx. 32 1/2" x 38 1/2". On the back of the other one is a card that reads, He was born in Cap D'Antibes, Rivera, in 1912. He paints scenes of his beloved Mediterranean coastline as well as street scenes. He has recently started to paint skyline scenes and dancers. In this new technique he has become so proficient that these works now are in constant demand. To all of his work, he brings the color and temperament of the South of France where he resides. Due to its huge size we are putting down pick up only, but should you ask us to we can work up a quote for shipping it to your location.
