For your consideration is a rare mid century danish modern brass arm chair most likely made by IB Kofod Larsen. This design features slim tapered wood dowel legs and a unique floating seat. The graceful brass arms form a continuous line which surrounds and supports the backrest. The x pattern frame is quite unusual and adds a refined elegance to the overall aesthetic of the piece. Although t is no tag on the chair the bottom is faintly stamped in red; Made in Denmark. Based of previous research, it does look like an IB Kofod Larsen piece. Condition: Overall condition is very good. T is evidence of use and some wear to the legs; scuffs nicks,scratches. The fabric may be original and is quite worn and dirty. I found one small hairline split to the wood near w it attaches to the brass arm (photographed) but it is small and does not seem to affect the strength of the arm in any way. The brass arms/support have seen some wear and lost some of the finish but could possibly be polished. I would say that it now has a "patina" to it. I did not attempt to alter or clean the chair in any way. It is in "AS FOUND " condition from the estate of a 98 year old woman from the Chicago area. Most vintage items show signs of normal wear from decades of use. Assume that the item is in used condition unless otherwise noted. I cannot detail all small inperfections to a piece of furniture or fabric. Sold at a low opening bid of $99.00 with NO RESERVE. Shipping is determined by your zip code. This chair will ship out via FEDEX but the quote will show up as UPS. I do not ship UPS or USPS . The box is too oversized to be ecomonically shipped through the post office. If the shipping calculator seems to be off (as it sometimes does) please email me with your zip code and I will double check the rate for you. The rate will include insurance and require a signature upon delivery. Payment is expected within 3 days via Paypal only unless you would like to pick the chair up (N/C) in which case I will require a cash payment and you must pick it up within 7 days. ABSOLUTELY NO Po Box or Military base shipping. All sales are final. I do not accept returns or offer refunds. Sorry, this items is NOT available for International shipping.
