DESCRIPTION Outstanding set of eight mid century Danish modern dining chairs designed by Johannes Andersen and made in Denmark. These solid teak chairs have an exceptionally beautiful curvy and organic sculptural design which Johannes Andersen is noted for. We just love the way the back curves gracefully into the sides. These have the original high quality upholstery and are labeled with the Moreddi label. Moreddi was an import company in Long Beach, CA, owned by the Frank brothers, that was among the first to import Scandinavian modern design into the states. From the 1960's. Low opening bid and no reserve. Pictured with a Johannes Andersen dining table, which is up for auction separately. DIMENSIONS Each chair is 30" high by 19" wide by 20" deep. Seat height is 17 1/2". CONDITION Excellent vintage condition, very clean. No cracks to the wood, joints are tight, very sturdy, they do not wobble. There are no rips, tears or pulls to the fabric. On a few chairs there are some very small and faint stains, but they're not noticeable, you really have to look for them.(see pictures) It's not necessary, but if you wanted to replace the fabric, it's an easy DIY project.
