Up for your consideration is this Vintage Black Lucite Moss Floor Lamp that I purchased at an Estate Sale. It is made of a black plexiglass. The form is a sculpture with curves in a very funky design. The top has a milk glass funnel shade to rest a shade on. T use to be a large Chartruese (green) shade made of cloth with gold pom pom fringe but the family said it did not survive over the years. The lucite form body rests on a black lacquer wood base. The lamp cord has an on/off toggle switch in the center for easy on/off operation. This lamp works great and the lucite is without any damage... no cracks, chips or repairs. The center pillar running up the length of the lamp in the center is brass. The top has a Rembrant type bulb socket. This was made to use a Mogile type bulb (which is a HUGE bulb) but the original owner inserted an adapter in the socket to allow use of regular size light bulbs due to the hard-to-find mogile bulbs and the cost when one was found was extreme. So now this lamp takes regular 100watt bulbs. The lamp is HUGE as it stands 58" high to the top of the milk glass shade. To the top of the socket (not including the milk glass shade) it stands 54" high. This is an INCREDIBLE lamp and is a piece of art in it's wonderful free-form sculptured design. WILD!!
