Vintage, Mid-Century Modern, Art Pottery, Hyalyn Vase
Offered for your consideration is a excellent porcelain vase from Hyalyn Pottery. This piece is tall at 11 1/4". The flared mouth is just over 5 1/2" across and the 8-sided foot is about 5" across. Marked on bottom: Hyalyn USA, 407, and also retains the original sticker on the body. The color is black, the finish is more matte than shine, but still reflects light. Hyalyn Pottery was founded in the 1940's in North Carolina. Condition: Very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips, repairs or crazing. One very small glaze miss on foot...some roughness in the glaze on the backside of the bulbous portion...see photos. Color and shape is sure to compliment many interior design styles. Shipping will be calculated on the buyer's zip code. I ship USPS, parcel or priority--you decide. Insurance is optional. I pack very well--see feedback. I don't believe in profiting from shipping. I work hard to keep the costs down for my customers by gathering and reusing boxes and some packing materials like styrofoam. It takes more of my time, but I believe it is important to my customers and it is better for the earth. And, as always, I don't charge a handling fee.
