Circa 1950's - 1960's "Mid Century Modern" or "Eames Era" unusually designed desk/table lamp in excellent looking and working condition. Made of molded fiberglass, brass & steel. The lamp is large, measures about 18 inches tall overall. The thick, stiff molded fiberglass shade is 14 inches in diameter with a 6 1/2 inch diameter white painted steel disk inside, which has two ceramic standard lamp sockets attatched. (The new energy saving neon bulbs will fit nicely). Large brass 1/2 inch diameter rod with swiveling & tilting head for shade adjustment, has a nice original patina that can be polished if desired. The 8 inch diameter base has a matching fiberglass cover over a heavy steel insert to keep the lamp very stable. A pushbutton switch on the base turns both lamps on. Excellent original condition with no damage, cracks, etc.. This rare style early lamp is a nice bright light source for a large desk, or makes a great reading lamp when set on a stand next to a comfortable chair! No reserve .
