MID-CENTURY MODERN PAUL FRANKL MAHOGANY DOUBLE DRESSER I am a Trading Assistant - I can sell items for you! This auction is for an original Paul Frankl mid-century modern double dresser, circa late 1940's / early 1950's . This mahogany dresser has been freshly professionally restored to its original condition with a dark walnut lacquered stain. Other than some minor imperfections, this highly sought after piece is in excellent condition. Truly a rare find! The piece measures approximately 72 1/2 inches in length, 32 inches high (in the pictures it is sitting atop a dolly) and 22 1/2 inches deep. T are five drawers on each side of the dresser measuring 7 inches, 3 1/2 inches, 7 inches, 3 1/2 inches and 7 inches in height, and 34 inches wide. This true work of art has the original Paul Frankl signature brass 'X' pulls. I have listed this item as pick-up only, but buyer may also arrange for their own moving company to pick up. It is currently located in a commercial elevator building in midtown Manhattan with access during regular workday hours. Arriving in the United States in 1914, Viennese-born Paul T. Frankl (1886-1958) brought with him an outsider's fresh perspective and an enthusiasm for forging a uniquely American design aesthetic .
