A beautiful Vintage Mid-Century Chinese Watercolor of a 'Koi Fish' within a wonderfully matted frame. I am selling this wonderful painting for a dear older friend who inherited it from her sister, who used to travel through Asia many years ago. This great piece is in very good condition (though it does look as if something rubbed against the background in a few fine lines, but did not scratch it or effect it's appearance). The cloth matting is also in very good condition, but the frame is a bit worn and loose in the lower right corner. It is signed in the upper right corner in a cartouche. The Watercolor itself measures 10 1/8 inches by 15 3/4 inches and with the frame and matting it measures 17 1/4 inches by 23 1/8 inches. My friend was told by her sister years ago that it was worth a great deal of money, but she just wants to find a good home for it. She has to downsize due to her health. A great addition for any collection and if it is a museum piece, hopefully someone will recognize it and it will find that perfect home. Thank you for viewing this beautiful Watercolor, have a wonderful day and be good to one another!
