I purchased this sofa a couple of years ago early on in my mid-century collecting hobby. The e-bay vendor said it was a Milo Baughman design. It probably isn't Baughman but it is still really cool. One expert told me recently that it was probably made by Flair, a division of the Bernhardt Company Flair - In 1958 a major new product category--upholstered furniture--was introduced with the launching of the Flair division. This new high-fashion look quickly made a name for itself with some of the most sophisticated buyers in America . Flair's creative styling and striking fabrics became a benchmark for others in the home fashion industry. The sofa is seven feet long and while it is designed to float above the floor, it is built like a bridge, very stable, no flexing. The piece is very heavy and I don't have a way to package it for shipping. I'm very happy to help you load it up at my house though. The upholstery is not original but fairly new and very correct for this era. Even though the piece is likely not a Baughman design, it will be an asset to any mid-century room. (Please check out my other auction for the matching love seat.)
