Acquired from an estate and selling with no reserve. This listing is for a rare mid to late 1800's Microscope. Brass ebony rosewood construction, I believe this may be a Gundlach - Manhattan. It is in the original early case and has a Gundlach - Manhattan "How to Use a Microscope and its Accessories book with it. I could find no markings or names anyw on the microscope. The base is heavy solid brass, with ebony pillar and rosewood stage. Brass ring mirror. It measures 5 3/4" diameter base, 5 5/8" tube length, 3 1/2" diameter stage. T is an extra lens with it. I don't know if it is original or to this microscope. Very early rare microscope. It appears to be in good condition. I'm no expert. What is photographed is what is with this microscope. If you have questions please ask. See photo's. Shipping is usps priority, plus insurance. We accept check, money order, paypal, visa and master card. Thank you for viewing this listing, see our other auctions for more vintage collectibles. T are no dents or dings in the microscope. All the parts operate smoothly. The case is good and solid. T is some wear and some white stain spots on one side, and the finish is wore around the edges of the bottom. T is some small 1/2" to 1" splits on the bottom edge of the case, w the bottom board was nailed, otherwise in good condition with hook latch.
