For advertising purposes he ordered 15 halfpenny and 9 farthing dies cut. This was designed and manufactured by James of London. The Exeter 'Change was a three-story building which housed shops on the ground floor and Pidcock's Exhibition of animals on the second floor. The building was designed in an atrium type fashion where visitors could look up from the first floor and see the animals on the second floor. Mr. Pidcock also travelled to different cities and perhaps even Dublin to exhibit his animals.The 18th Century British Provincial Token (Conder Token) series is one of the most underappreciated and undervalued segments of numismatics today.
