Middlesex Yeomanry Hussars Field Officers Full Dress Green Tunic. Made from dark green superfine cloth with black velvet to cuffs and collar. To the chest there are 5 sets of gilt cord loops and drops with all 5 gilt olivetes and 10 gilt netted caps present and matching. Regimental lace and field officer loops to collar (no collar badges would ever have been fitted). Cuffs are with Austrian knots in gilt cord with field officer pattern traced in Russian braid. Pair of matching hussar gilt cord epaulettes with Kings Crown (to denote major) and pair of matching Queens crown screw backed regimental buttons. Back has gilt cord trefoils, knots and netted caps. Small pocket to right hand waist. Quilted beige and black lining with internal pocked. Chest Size about 40". To fit someone about 6'. The very rare jacket is in very presentable condition. The colour of the green cloth is still very good with no noticeable fading. The cuffs are also very good with just the expected wear to the edges of the velvet. The gilt cord is with general fading and fraying to points of wear, notable to fastening loops and edges and back. Odd pulls to stitching and general very minor wear damage.
