Mighty Mite II Reverse Electroplating Scrap Gold Plating Recovery Cell The patent pending prefabricated Mighty-Mite II Reverse Electroplating Scrap Gold Plating Recovery Cell is designed with the hobbyist and/or small scale recycler in mind. It is small, portable, easy to assemble, simple to operate and requires minimal storage space. While the unit may be small, its performance delivers volumes in recovery possibilities at phenomenal speed. The de-plating speed is directly related to the special alloy, dual cathode and special alloy anode basket configurations. The Mighty-Mite II Reverse Electroplating Scrap Gold Plating Recovery Cell is capable of processing up to 1/4-pound of metallic, gold plated material at one time and up to 3-pounds of material per session. Simply load the gold plated materials to be de-plated, into the anode basket, submerge it into the electrolyte, connect the battery charger leads and watch the reaction commence. After several minutes, remove, rinse and discard the de-plated items, reload the anode basket and begin the process anew. In most cases the stripping action is complete in less than several minutes or so. The process digests very little of the base metals (copper, tin, lead, nickel, etc.) thusly allowing sale of this remaining material to your local salvage yard. Note: This is not the same recovery method used by the Electrolytic Scrap Gold Plating Recovery Cell-DIY that I also market on Ebay. The two processes are completely different and should not be confused with one another. In most cases, the unit has paid for itself in the first couple of hours of operation. Several existing units, of the 8-dozen or so units now in operation, have processed over 75-pounds of material each without degradation to the unique special metal alloy cathodes and anode basket. The Mighty-Mite II utilizes a one chemical, acid based electrolyte, easily obtainable from local sources, Ace Hardware, Lowes, etc., and a common automobile battery charger for the electrical source. The Mighty-Mite II is specifically designed to recover gold plating from gold plated, gold filled or rolled gold jewelry, necklaces, rings, etc.; gold plated computer pins/hardware, gold plated flatware, gold plated eyeglass frames and/or virtually any gold plated metallic object. This system will not function on Gold Fingers or CPU's. The Mighty-Mite II comes complete with the following: 1. Dual Cathodes, cut, drilled, notched and formed to fit the Electrolytic Bath Container described below. 2. Cathode Continuity Wire Assembly to provide continuity between the twin cathodes. 3. Fully Assembled Anode Basket with removable/replaceable screen and poly vinyl chloride, heat resistant, flame retardant insulator sleeves. 4.
