MIKE BEERS AND CRATES ~ RODEO ~ TEAM ROPING CHAMPION Description: Hello ~ In 1997 Crates Saddles / Leather Company along with the 1984 Team Roping Champion Of The World Mike Beers came together and put on a series of team ropings in Oregon. This fabulous buckle was awarded to the Spring Champion of series #5 ~ If you've ever been to a roping / rodeo in Oregon you know that the "Wolves" always show up as it is a very prestigious thing to win one of these events ~ The buckle measures 4 3/8" long x 3 1/2" high and weighs 1/2 pound ( 8 ounces ) ~ The maker is Gary Gist who is a great roper as well as a superior artist / silversmith ~ Mr. Gist left NOTHING OUT when he constructed this trophy ~ Every intricate detail was added to this buckle ~ Please notice from the photos w the ropers' hands and the heelers' loop are and notice both punchers' eyes as well as the position of the bovine, you can see the ropers are going for the win ~ The face of the buckle holds beautifully done floral engraving along with antiquing covered by silver schrolling in two corners with two rich,green stones to finish off the statement ~ The gold ribbons are t too as an accent to the lettering ~ The back of the buckle is as nice as I have ever seen and that is w you will find the Gist Hallmark ~ To hold all of the fabulous details together is a Starberry Border read more
