MIKIMOTO INTERNATIONALSilver and Pearl Cufflinks I took these cufflinks into Mikimoto on Bond Street, London, and they confirmed that they were made by Mikimoto International and were sterling silver with rhodium coating. Apparently they are Japanese akoya pearls mounted on black-lip oyster mother of pearl. They are marked with what I think is an M inside shell shape and a letter S in a square. The hallmarks are hard to see because of the rhodium coating (which apparently helps to stop the silver tarnishing). They are beautifully made and designed well - very easy to put on. They weigh 8.8 grams on my scales and the front piece measures approximately 14mm across. Please see the photos below and feel free to ask any questions. From a smoke free, pet free home.
