An antique, Italian, Sterling Silver, figural, souvenir spoon. It has a snake or dragon eating a baby on the handle. The Gold plated (gilded, gold washed), "Butler" (matte) finished bowl is hand engraved "Milano 1891". A souvenir of the "Grand Tour". It is one of a collection of over 250 souvenir spoons (just a sampling is shown in the last photos) that I will list over the next 30 days. All are 19th Century or very early 20th Century. They come from all over the world. They are all silver or mixed metal & most are enamelled. They range in size from pendant to serving. Please check my other auctions often. It measures about 4 1/2" (11.5 cm.) long & weighs 13.4 grams. It is in excellent condition for its age with no dents, gouges, bends or repairs. It has no monogram. It is perfect for gift giving.
