You are bidding on a US Military Gortex 4 Piece Sleeping System. All pieces are in like-new condition with no holes, tears or stains and all the zippers are in good working order. The Military Modular Sleeping Bag is constructed to insulate the user in temperatures ranging from mild to extreme cold weather. The set is made up of two (2) Mummy-style sleeping bags. Both the green (Patrol) and the black (Intermediate Cold Weather) are made of water resistant rip stop nylon. Each bag is capable of functioning independently, however by inserting the black Intermediate bag inside the green Patrol bag they are good to -30 degrees. If these two (2) bags are then inserted in the vapor permeable Gortex Bivy cover the system is rated to provide four (4) hours sleep at -40 degrees. The final piece of the system is the black Compression Stuff Sack which measures 30" in length and 14" in diameter. It is compressible to one cubic foot and has six (6) 1" wide nylon webbing straps that can be adjusted by ladderlock buckles. Reinforcement webbing is sewn around the circumference of the bag and t is a nylon drawcord closure with a barrel lock. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.
