MILITARY SURVIVAL PROPANE LIGHTER -VIETNAM ERA

Up for auction is this hard to find U.S. Military Butane Survival lighter. These were commonly found as equipment supplied with the SRU-21P Survival Vest, worn by pilots, and air crews during the Vietnam War. This lighter has its instruction label, with "SURVIVAL lIGHTER, NAT. STOCK # 9920-00, and instructions for using the lighter. Lighter has good flint, but needs to be refilled with propane. I am told these lighters can be re-filled using most cans of propane fluid, however i have none. Lighter is dark green anodized aluminum, and measures 2-1/2" long, and is about 3/4" in diameter. Lighter is fully waterproof, by use of a rubber "O" ring at base of screw down top. A wonderful addition for your vintage military collection, or for the outdoorsman, as a safety item.. ----------SEE ALL PICTURES, EMAIL QUESTIONS-----------
