An Exceptional Good, Classic, Original Miller Falls Barn Beam Drill. It appears to be in Good and Solid condition with some light general wear from age, use and storage. Some light surface rust to the metal, light scratches, scuffing. The only problems I can find are shown in the 3rd photo. You can see some wood cracking on surface of both sides (nothing deep or serious) of the platform and the bolt screw thread on the adjustable stop (on the right of photo - the part that slides up and down) is striped. All parts and piece seem to move and cycle freely and smoothly. This Beam Drill was stored with a lot of oil on all the metal surfaces and cleaned up exceptionally well. Overall it measures approx. 14âe wide by 26âe high by 28 1⁄2âe long. It is an old and original barn beam timber drill boring machine by Millers Falls . It has raised printing on the front face of the iron mechanism and imprinting on the cylindrical chuck piece. The mechanism works by turning the two smooth dark egg-shaped wood knob handles on each side, bicycle motion, which by gearing, converts to a vertical drilling motion. Adjustments make it possible to drill at various angles to the platform.
