WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Millersburg TROUT AND FLY Ice Cream Shape BOWL in DEEP GREEN with GORGEOUS MULTI-COLOR iridesence! The color is superb as you can see from the pictures. It is an old vintage piece, not marked in any way. It is approximately 8.5 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. An outstanding example, one of the best out t It is awesome on display. A beautful example of this very desirable and highly collectable Millersburg pattern. I have included several photos of the piece so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this bowl in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This bowl is in fantastic conditon! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs! No major detractions at all! T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, but you must really search long and hard to find them. The base is clean and shows very minimal shelf wear. You must really, really stretch to see anything at all. I can find only a few enclosed, very tiny manufacturing bubbles that you must hold up to a strong light to find. I can find only the very slightest wear to the raised surfaces of the bowl interior, scattered, like little tiny pinhead sized flecks. Very tiny, you must examine very, very closely to see them. That is all I can find on this gorgeous bowl. Simply put...it is one of the finest examples you will ever find. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. It is an outstanding, high quality piece. I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this bowl displays great MULTI-COLOR! None of these mentionables take away from this gorgeous piece . It is a very fine example! You will have a hard time ever finding a nicer one if you drove the tires off of your car! It has been taken care of and is very clean. The pictures tell the tale, please have a look.
