SO PLEASE ENJOY AND HAVE FUN WITH THEM! ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a Scarce Antique Millersburg STRAWBERRY Ruffled Compote made in the early 1900's. The Base Glass color is highly desirable AMETHYST. These elusive Gems seldom are presented for sale...please see your price guides and manuals. The photos clearly show the shape and the pattern. I have made every attempt to show the piece from various angles to demonstrate how nice it is. The iridescence is Brilliant RADIUM...highly reflective of its surroundings...Shimmering Rainbow Multi-Color iridescence featuring Purples and Greens over an Ultra Rich Golden background. You can see how nice the color is through the pattern details. The visual qualities of piece are ultimately pleasing and combined with the scarcity make it really stand out on display. Absolutely a piece that turns some heads...pure EYE CANDY. Please look over the photographs and enjoy. I have shown as many angles as I can cram into 12 photographs...please look them over and enjoy. Dark areas are shadows and reflections only. It is impossible to photograph Radium pieces outside and not have shadows cast. If you have been hunting one of these Elusive Gems with Brilliant Radium iridscence, colorful with Premium visual qualities...look this one over and give it serious consideration. FEW opportunities to own one come along. There are no markings on this piece whatsoever. It is antique Millersburg at its finest. It is every bit as sharp as the photos show. My photos are taken outside in natural indirect sunlight. I never use a flash or props. I never enhance photos, never have, never will. I aim to show you the best iridescent color the piece offers. If the piece looks awesome in the photos...that is because...it is! What you see is what you will get! ITEM MEASUREMENTS: The piece is 6 3/4 inches wide. 2 3/4 inches across the base. 3 1/4 inches tall. BASE GLASS COLOR: AMETHYST ITEM CONDITION: There are NO CHIPS, CRACKS or REPAIRS on this Extremely Scarce, Brilliant Radium Millersburg Compote. An elusive, remarkable piece of antique Millersburg glass! THE BASE: The mold seams are barely there to the touch....nice and smooth. I can't make out any shelf wear on the bottom of the base...extraordinary to say the very least. The piece sits flat and level on a flat surface. THE INTERIOR: I can make out just very faint wear on the outside edge of the display surface...visible only if the light strikes the surface just right...very common for this antique glass and completely insignificant, in my opinion. You can clearly see how fantastic the display surface is in the photographs. The iridesence is Radium, Colorful...ultra nice! THE EXTERIOR: I can't make out any wear on the display surface. Very attractive on display! THE EDGE: The Edge Treatment on the piece are very well done. The piece is well formed in every regard, the ruffles are well formed and even around the display surface. The scallops were all well formed. You will be hard pressed to ever find a finer example. Truly a scarce, highly elusive and gorgeous piece of antique Millersburg and an exquisite piece of this century old glass. That is all I can find on this Very Scarce, Radium Antique Millersburg Ruffled Compote. An exquisite example of this highly desirable pattern, elusive shape and base glass color.
