Milson Worth's "Silver Meteor" Vanishing Birdcage - No Reserve is a wonderful prop for a classic effect! This is an authentic chrome and brass Milson Worth Silver Meteor Vanishing Birdcage. I purchased this cage new back in the mid 1970's from Stan Allen's "The Magic Shop" in Los Alamitos, California. (I bought it for my Castle audition J ). I've never personally seen one of these on ebay. It still has the original pull cord attached to it, and has never been restored, cleaned, or polished. (I think I lubricated it a couple of times before performing). The metal has the used, aged appearance that you would expect from a cage of this vintage. (If you plan to use it in a show, I would suspect you would wish to polish it up--I will leave that to you. I suspect it would restore very nicely.). The original white cord is no longer white, and can be easily replaced by another cord if you wish. I believe these cages were originally handmade, so t are imperfections and slight bends in a couple of the crossbars, and some of the thin, wire links are not precisely straight after use so long ago. However, the cage just flops shut perfectly when pulled by the cord.
