Old Euro Cut diamond, aprox. 6.5mm "redesigned" from old ring into a 14K white gold bezel, with attached 1mm white gold snake chain to make a lovely, new necklace with an "old world" twist!!!!!! I found this diamond 5 years ago, when it was in an old ring, and was found in a packing box in storage. Last year, I took it to a jeweler friend, who confirmed it was a diamond, and an old euro cut one at that, approximately 1 carat. I decided to remove the diamond from the ring and re-set it as a necklace, in a bezel setting. The jeweler used 14k white gold, and a bezel with an opening wide enough to slide a heavier snake chain through. The chain is described as "twisted snake" and is 1mm wide. It is 18" long. It is permanately attached to the bezel, which slides freely along the chain. The necklace weighs 4.8 grams. After the necklaces creation, I have had the diamond and bezel tested at a different jewelers, just to confirm their authenticity. The bezel was acid tested for gold and passed. This is a unique item, and should be appreciated by the woman who likes something classic, yet different. I will pack this necklace in a presentation box and pack very carefully.
