Rover Mini Flame fitted from new with John Cooper Garages performance conversion. This is a restoration project and will need substantial bodywork renovation but is complete with its original trim and most importantly its original engine with all numbers matching the original Rover receipt which also details the John Cooper Conversion. Briefly, these 998cc John Cooper Garages Conversions were available to Minis initially as a limited edition in 1989 and then went on to be available for fitment at Rover Dealers in 1990 complete with full Rover warranty. The conversion included a Janspeed Performance Cylinder Head, Twin SU Carbs' Janspeed Manifold and exhaust. This Mini Flame was also fitted with a number of John Cooper Garages extras including Motolita Leather bound steering wheel (complete with John Cooper engraved signature), Cooper centre wheel caps (one missing) and Cooper Grille. This car a long and special history - being my car from brand new which I sold a year or so later and bought back last year ! I have two binders of documentation which detail my correspondence with John Cooper Garages in the late 1980's / early 1990. These documents in themselves are now sought after memorabilia for Mini Cooper fans; these letters have John Coopers signature detailed at the foot of each.
