I am thrilled to be able to bring you some of the items from the Adell Venus miniature estate collection that was auctioned off by Leslie Hindman. Adell Venus was from the Chicago area and began collecting in the late 1960's when her uncle presented her with a pair of miniature silver candlesticks that she had admired in his jewelry shop. From that day forward, she was hooked and collected for the remainder of her life. Her collection spanned from contemporary artist pieces to antiques. Over the next few weeks I will be listing some pieces that I had the good fortune of winning. All items starting with a very LOW opening bid and NO reserve. Most are 1:12 scale but please look at the photos with the dime for comparison and also the measurements in the description below. I can hold items up to two weeks in order to combine shipping with other wins. THIS IS A WONDERFULLY DETAILED HAND CARVING OF THREE BEARS (MAMA AND TWO CUBS). MEASURES 1" HIGH. THERE IS SOME SORT OF SIGNATURE? MARK ON THE FOOT OF THE MOTHER BEAR (YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE PHOTO OF THE BOTTOM.....IT IS THE TOP MIDDLE FOOT. NO CONDITION ISSUES.
