Miniature Plates from Around the World Wonderful Collection of Folk Art from Different Countries The plates came from one persons collection. I purchased the plates at an estate sale a few years back. The person traveled alot and collected small plates or momentos from the places visited. All but one plate is marked on the back with either the date or w it came from. Not all these are plates, but most are. All are in great condition All have hangers on back or ways to hang them 1. Ceramic Plate from Argentina ~ 1986 ~ Hand Painted with Flower Design and Scalloped Border ~ Size: 3" across ~ Round 2. Green Ceramic Medallion from Honduras ~ 1988 - 89 ~ Carved Head ~ Painted Green with Hole in top for hanging ~ Size: 2.25" across ~ Round 3. Carved White Stone Plate with Inlaid colored stone and wood flower design ~ Same Material as Taj Mahal ~ Date Unknown ~ Size: 3.5" ~ Round with Scalloped Carved Edge 4. Hand Painted Copper Plate from Greece ~ Date Unknown ~ Man in Robe Hand Painted on the front ~ Size: 4" across ~ Round ~ Stamped on back: Greek Handicraft, Kepaxeikh Xeipotexnia, Mercury No. 10 5. Wood Plate with Inlaid bone design and carved stone Phinx in the center ~ Luxor, Egypt 1977 ~ Size: 4.25" ~ Round 6. Hand Painted Ceramic Plate from Peru, 1986 ~ Marked on back by the artist with initials T.P.A. ~ Size: 4.25" ~ Round 7. Hand Painted Ceramic Plate Dish ~ Unknown Origin or Date ~ Size: 4" ~ Round 8. Punched Leather Medallion ~ New Guinea 1992 ~ Stained Leather ~ Gold Embossed Design with hands releasing a dove on back and the words PEACE ~ Size: 2.5" ~ Round 9. Relief Painting on Wood, Round Plaque ~ Date and Origin Unknown ~ Elephant in center with ornate scroll design around edge.
