.Have you ever seen these before? This is the sweetest little antique circa 1900s box of "Veilleuses Francaises" translated as French Night lights for your doll. The circular box, so often seen at the turn of the century has its original label. It is small and the items inside are a miniature size, just right for a doll. Inside is a tiny little metal "lantern" that holds the teeny wicks that fit into its center. The box is full of the little wicks and rings, however some have broken IT is a very precious little box with a wonderful original old label. The diameter is about 2 1/2 inches. I am guessing this is old store stock, since the metal holder wire is still stiff and not bent from dolly holding onto it :)These would make such a cute display on a night stand or in a doll's hand, holding the lantern, looped over her thumb or fingers.
