is a charming Victorian Hair Work Locket in the shape of a Padlock that actually opens at the top of the Padlock just like a regular padlock does. Someone took an amazing amount of love and care to weave a patchwork design of baby hair to place in this locket. It is probably made of 9 or 12Kt Gold but is not marked as many of them were not. The amazing thing is that the hair is woven and placed inside a bevelled glass cover in a locket that measures an incredible 1/2 inch (not counting the hasp to the lock. On one side is a script design with a picture of a keyhole and a tiny bevelled glass on the other through which you can see the hair work. I have never seen such fine work in such a tiny example before. I accept money orders, personal checks (allow 10 business days to clear) and prefer paypal for a quick ship.
