Miniature or should I say TINY ! antique cast brass scandi padlock. Very heavy (for it's size) and made of cast brass. This is not the flimsy stamped brass style. These were advertised as dog collar locks in the old hardware catalogs of the 1880's - 1890's, however can be used w ever you might need a tiny padlock. Very small at less than 3/4 inch tall total, by 3/8 inch thick, and 1/2 inch across the fat round body. It is Stamped with a STAR symbol on the bottom around the keyhole. It comes with an original working key. The shackle is cast brass and completely comes out of the padlock when unlocked, just like the full sized jail and prison locks. It is in great condition, and works very well. T is wear on the upper portion of the shackle from swinging around on a dog collar for many years. It is heavily patinated which adds to it's charm. These tiny antique locks are extremely hard to find by themselves, let alone with an original key. This lock will be sure to delight the corrections, dog collar or padlock collectors and make an excellent stocking stuffer.
