Mining~Rare~1880s~Riveted Miners Hard Rock Shovel EARLY CALICO MINES DRIFT SHOVEL WITH ORIGINAL HANDLE This is an original 1880s "RIVETED STAMPED MINERS DRIFT SHOVEL" These unique early riveted short handled miners shovels are only found underground in abandon mines and this one was recently found deep underground in Calico, California. It has a very cool weatd original 30" handle and the spade is three separate pieces of metal put together with eight rivets. It is stamped "#2 PEERLESS BEST STEEL FULL SPRING" Hey this isn't just a shovel.. This is the real deal a true Miners Shovel and I bet you have never seen one before ??? These early 1880s hand tools represent the earliest hand tools of underground mining and display well hanging on the wall like mine.
