This is an original Colt hunting knife with a handle of genuine stag; it was made several years ago. The knife measures 8-1/4" overall, with a mirror-polished 4-1/4" blade that is beautifully hollow ground. The left side of the blade is marked with the Rampant Colt trademark and: "Colt/ Since 1836". The handle is genuine stag; the bolster is rosewood colored laminated wood that is tough! The sheath is just as high quality as the knife--it is made from tough brown leather with a "skip checker" design on the face. This knife was made several years ago, when United Cutlery had the license for the Colt trademark. They had this knife and sheath made by Boker, and it's absolutely top quality. As you know, United went bankrupt and was liquidated by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in January, 2007. And this beautiful stag handled Colt hunting knife is now history. Mint knife and sheath, in the original box. No reserve.
