MINT PRISTINE ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN LENKORAN LONG CARPET, Southeastern Caucasus, Karabagh villages district, dated in two places: 1310 or 1894, and in PERFECTLY PRESERVED CONDITION. The exact size is: 4'-7" x 9'-3" (140 x 282 cm). Three large ivory "dragon" motif Lenkoran medallions rests on a chocolate field all within a rarely seen trefoil ivory border element. Small filler designs in the field consist of animals, assorted geometric motifs, latch-hooks, larger "S"-devices and two date panels in the middle medallion reading: 1310 or 1894. Absolutely perfect MINT condition with original braided warp end finishes. Not a hair out of place on this one! Recently sourced from a private holding the southernmost Caucasus Mountains and brought directly to the eBay market by IMOKUB2. Notice in my close up photo of the weave structure from the back that cloth loops were sewn to the top w the weaving was hung. I doubt very seriously if this specimen was ever walked upon. It was obviously a coveted personal heirloom that was lovingly taken care of for over 100 years! NO rips, holes, tears, repairs, reweaves, odors, moth damage, dryness, stains, color run, or bleeding. Just professionally cleaned to museum standards. Lies flat and straight on the floor. Ready for your collection or immediate use as a floor carpet.
