The peg-leg alarm clocks produced by the WESTERN CLOCK COMPANY in LaSalle, Illinois came in two sizes and were called either "BABY BEN" or "BIG BEN" depending on the size of the case. Both featured the same style case and had selectors on the top one of which allowed the owner to choose between ALARM and SILENT...if he wanted to use the clock just for time telling. The other selector gave the choice of either STEADY (alarm) or REPEAT (alarm). This provided the option of having the alarm sound for a while (if Repeat was chosen) and then go silent for a few minutes followed by more alarming until the clock ran down or the sleeper woke up----usually the latter!!! This little gem has a wonderfully clean nickel-plated case and a bright white dial. It operates perfectly and keeps good time during its thirty-hour run before re-winding for the following night. Another great clock at an appropriate price from our large collection of excellent timepieces.
