Presented for sale a MINT DIAL WW1 TRENCH WATCH by A Schild in R Gold case from 1914-18 General Description This is a superb example of a WW1 Officer's TRENCH WATCH with a high quality 10J AS handwound movement from 1914-18 with a Rolled Gold case and black leather strap. Case The hinged case is of Rolled Gold, measuring 29 mm in diameter (excluding lugs and winding button) and has the ROLLED GOLD and GUARANTEED TO WEAR 10 YEARS. The case is in good overall condition for its age and use, with some marks due to daily use to some areas. However there is some loss of the RG on the back cover. The covers are a good secure fit. Movement The high quality, A.Schild 10J movement has the AS, 10 JEWELS and is in excellent physical condition, runs well and keeps good tme (within 1 minute a day or better). The watch has been recently serviced.Dial The white porcelain dial is in absolutely MINT condition. The hands are blued steel and the applied hour markers are black, with the 12 o'clock marker in red.Strap The watch is fitted with a new black leather strap with a gold plated buckle clasp.
