The item you are viewing is a collection of memorabilia from an individual associated with the N.G.N.Y. (National Guard New York) Comapny H of the Seventh Regiment. The collection was housed in a wooden box approx. 12" by 12" and secured by 10 screws (2 remain). T are a number of partial labels on the top of the box that refer to American Railway Express Company (putting together portions of two labels) that went defunct in 1929. The hat or shako was made by Ridabock & Co. 149-151 West 36th Street New York size 7 1/4. It is in terrific condition all the material is crisp and clean. The only issues are some tarnish on the metal components. The hat badge reads Pro Patria Et Gloria and t is a red Seven in the middle. Also in the box were two pair of white dress gloves. Brass Letter H and Brass Number 7 with no markings. Five chevrons, four large black with field gray backgrounds and one smaller set of gray chvrons with navy blue background. T is a pair of Captains bars on a card marked imprinted Hudson Gifts and some writing (see photo). Also a number of U.S. pins some marked Meyer and unidentified pins. T are also seven pieces of paperwork including two photos. The photos are of Seventh regiment Mock Review trphy prsented by Clinton Shafer Jr. Other paperwork includes the Company "H" Stein Song by Brice Hair & Henry Swain. A Memorial Service Bulletin for Veterans of the Seventh Regiment NGNY held Sunday May 11th 1931 at Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas in New York City. A service of rememberance bulletin commemorating the Seventieth anniversary of the departure of the seventh regiment NGNY to particpate in the civil war April 19,1861. Held at Saint THomas chuch April 19, 1931. NExt paper item is a Mess dinner menu dated Friday October 3rd, 1930 on the back are 11 signatures presumably of participants. And finally a bring Spring dinner dance bulletin held by the Eight Company Seventh Regimant at the Appleton Memorial Hall June Sixth 1931. All-in-All a unique and fabulous lot. My ggiesstimate is that once packed this will weigh about 13 lbs. Please ask any and all questions. Plus I will send other photos of items if desired.
