Item Description: Up for auction is a wonderful vintage Royal Doulton porcelain toby mug from 1975. The mug features, Henry VIII and it portrays the grand monarch in his royal clothing with a tower as the handle. The piece is completely hand-painted and is marked on the bottom with the Royal Doulton trademark, the name of the piece, and the number D6642. These pieces should go up significantly in years to come given the fact that the factory has now closed and they will now be produced in China and painted by machines rather than living artists. Overall the mug stands approximately 6 1/2" tall and it is extremely beautiful and fragile. Item Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. It is very clean and I see no chips, cracks, or broken areas. The handpainted details are magnificent and the glaze is free from any crazing. Please note that a handling fee may be included with your shipping quote and we require insurance for all items that sell for over $100.00.
