Circa:1908. Up for auction is yet another magnificant clock found stored in a barn since the 1960's. It is a beautiful Golden Oak Sessions Long Drop Schoolhouse Regulator clock, called the Star Pointer. It was a originally made by E.N.Welch and when Sessions took over the bankrupt company they made this beauty for a just a few more years. It is all original with the exception of a door latch which is much better in quality and style than the original one and stronger as well. It has been professionally oiled and cleaned and runs perfectly although they may need minor adjustment after they go through the mail system. It is a eight day time only piece. Perfect for w a chimming clock would be a bother and no need to worry about how to set hands. They can be moved forward or backwards without any harm to clock. Lower glass is pristine and original so is the wonderful golden oak patina, neither one has been touched. The Dial is a little worn but I would not touch a thing on that dial as original as ma'a apple pie. Just the way collectors want to find this model. The bezel glass is a little loose and will need to be dealt with a little solder or glue should fit that problem. This case is pristine no nicks or cracks and the raise graining or star pointer pattern is quite nice to look at. The damaschene pendulum is a extra bonus on this read more
