ELEGANT THUMBPRINT BUD VASE

IN THE KINGS CROWN PATTERN in RUBY FLASH

Offered is a lovely bud vase that measures exactly 12 1/4" high. It was the later version I believe of the Ruby Flash that use to be made by the U. S. Glass Company commonly known as Tiffin from 1800's to 1960's which became the Indiana Glass Company in the 1970's. If you have access to the reference book Collectible Glassware from the 40's, 50's and the 60's - Fifth Edition by Gene Florence, please refer to pages 120 and 121. Gene Florence has written many reference books for the seasoned collector to refer to in regards to value. This lovely vase has a slender elongated neck with a curved elegant opening, then to the base t is ruby just above the circular thumbprint design, then below the circular design is another row of ruby flash. All the color is perfect, no fading. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks. It is definitely a lovely vase. I purchase this recently at a Antique Estate auction. The design on the bottom of the vase are circular thumbprints which clarifies that it was from a mold by I believe Indiana Glass as when they bought the molds, they changed the pattern slightly.
