Up for auction, one RARE vintage - all original - metal toy car - CORGI TOYS #497 "THE MAN FROM UNCLE" OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 THRUSH BUSTER CAR . Car is marked on the bottom - OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 - U.N.C.L.E. - CORGI TOYS - PAT. APP. No 17507/66- MADE IN GT. BRITAIN . Vehicle is in mint condition. The body is super clean with a very dark blue paint finish, silver detailed front grille with OLDSMOBILE in raised lettering, also silver headlights, front and rear bumpers. Additional details include; U.N.C.L.E. paper decal on hood which is 100% intact - no missing pieces or scratches, silver metal search lights on both sides of the front hood that rotate 360*, a metal firing lever on the roof which when depressed moves both men inside to the windows to fire their guns. Nice lines, displays beautifully. Detailed interior is yellow with a yellow steering wheel. The windows are all present, tinted blue and reveal bullet holes. Bottom is clean grey metal. Tires are black with silver spoke rims, tires are also marked CORGI TOYS. Car measures about 4 1/8 inches long. A superb car that would make an excellent addition to any collection.
