Offered for sale is an original Second World War side cap with bakelite insignia. This cap is in really beautiful condition and was made by J COLLETT Ltd in 1943 . Please see the photograph of the interior with the official stamp of production bearing size 7. I have taken pictures of the King's RAF insignia with the flash on and off so prospective bidders can have a good view. In both the photographs it has come out slightly light but I can assure bidders that it is a nice shade of black. The marks on the photograph of the buttons (nos. 4 and 8) can hardly be seen with the naked eye when the item is 'in hand' but do show up due to the high magnification on the macro of my camera. On photographs 6 and 7 which detail the interior , one can see that all the original holding clasps for the insignia are in the correct place, and in fine condition. There is one small moth nip on the side opposite to the insignia and can just be seen on picture 9 in the upper area. I have started this sale at a relatively low first bid price and it is very rare to find a cap with all it's original bakelite insignia I am happy to answer any questions you may have. I have a 100% feedback rating which has mostly come from the sale of original militaria and vintage film posters. I always package items very well and have successfully delivered to North America, read more
