A Minton Bute Shape Cup and Saucer, pattern no.686, c.1812 Search A Minton Bute Shape Cup & Saucer, pattern no.686 , c. 1812 Bone china. White ground. Decorated with a bold, stylized floral pattern of orange flowers with yellow centres, leaves and sprigs in blue and light green, all in bright enamel colours . The cup stands 2 1/4 inches high and measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter, excluding the handle. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter . The bases of both are marked with the hand-written pattern number, 686 :x, in red. The cup has a faint, Y shaped hairline crack to the base. Otherwise both are in good, original, sound condition with only very mild wear to one or two small areas of the decoration.
