This is a beautiful black transferware tile made by the Minton China Works from Stoke on Trent. This is a 6 inch square tile in a black transferware made by the famous English company known as Minton. This tile depicts quadrupeds at a man-made fence. T are three of them , all with horns. They are in a mountainous scene that looks like an English landscape. I call them quadrupeds because I am not certain what sort of steer that they are. The tile is in very good condition, with some minor rim chips. No cracks crazings hairlines repairs or restorations. It is marked on the back Mintons China Works Stoke on Trent and then it has a Minton seal that reads Stoke on Trent Walbrook, London Minton This is a beautiful old tile made in England.
