MINTONS G1369 GILT & TURQUOISE SWAGS TRIO CUP SAUCER PLATE 1874 A beautiful trio of cup, saucer and plate from Mintons in their G1369 pattern. The pieces have heavily gilded rims and swags along with raised enameled turquoise swags. Godden’s Encyclopedia of British Porcelain Manufacturers page 535 dates the impressed backstamps as 1874, making these over 135 years old. I combine postage for multiple purchases. Please wait for an invoice before paying so I can calculate and apply the discount. Cup: Approx 2.5” diameter, 2.5” tall Saucer: Approx 5.5” diameter Plate: Approx 6.4” diameter Excellent condition. Used. No chips or cracks. The plates and saucers look as good as new, I can’t see any wear to the gilt or enamel or any scratches. But they are very old so please allow for the odd thing I may have missed. The cups show signs of age. They are discolouring – particularly the handles into a cream colour. I have read that this sort of thing can be reversed but I have no idea how. 1 cup has a dot of enamel missing, another has some wear to the gilt rim. Backstamp – Mintons , an arrow etc – see pictures . Some backstamps are more clear than others. Note: I am not a china/pottery expert so look at the pictures carefully and satisfy yourself as to what you are bidding on before doing so. Weight to the next 50gms unpacked – 400
