This item is an old Mintons China Works Stoke on Trent, 6 by 6 inch scenic tea tile, with the tile mounted in a silver colored metal footed frame, and with the tile cracked as we are showing in the images below. We wish the tile was mint, but it is what it is, and it is cracked. In addition, the metal frame has some flaws from wear along the edges, as one can see in the images below. I do not know what kind of metal the frame is made of, but it is silver colored, it is soft and pliable, and it polishes off black with silver polish. The tile has obviously been in this frame a very long time. The tile is back marked with the Mintons Stoke on Trent in-relief mark, and also includes the Mintons seal in the bottom right hand corner, as shown in the images below. We purchased the tile at a recent midwest estate auction in the states. See images below for more details. Email any questions to us.
